Although he has been content to rent out his home since joining PSG, the Argentine prodigy already has a substantial property portfolio; a look at the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner’s various investments.
On the football pitch, Leo Messi’s reputation is well-established. But in the field of business as well, the Argentine is not to be outdone. He has been building up a vast property portfolio for several years now.
A “Fortress” in Rosario…
For Messi, it all starts with housing, acquired for the comfort of his family. In Barcelona, on the heights of the highly sought-after Castelldefels district, he owns a house valued at 8 million euros and equipped, among other things, with a private football pitch.
But the most impressive property is the villa he had built in Rosario for a whopping 3.5 million euros. A cinema, a swimming pool, a vast wooded area, and some twenty bedrooms: it is not for nothing that local journalists have nicknamed it “The Fortress.” On top of that, the star owns properties in Miami and Ibiza.
… And a hotel chain
To complete the picture, Lionel Messi owns a chain of luxury hotels in partnership with the Majestic group and managed by his brother Rodrigo: MiM Hotels. With five addresses in Spain in particularly touristy locations (Sitges, Ibiza, Cadiz, Mallorca, but also the Baqueira ski area), the group has a bright future ahead of it. As for Messi’s real estate holdings, they are already worth more than 30 million Euros.
