Olivier Giroud, ambassador of Monaco Collectif Humanitaire (MCH)

A great ambassador with a big heart, AC Milan striker and French international footballer Olivier Giroud has been supporting Monaco Collectif Humanitaire since 2014 to operate on children who cannot receive vital care in their own countries.

After a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic, operations for children from developing countries have resumed. To date, since its launch in 2008, the MCH has enabled 460 children to receive surgery for heart conditions that were not operable in their home countries. Operations are also supported locally in the MCH’s partner countries, namely Mali, Madagascar, and Senegal.

Olivier Giroud, MCH ambassador, regularly comes to Monaco to see the children, the host families, and the doctors. He is very involved in the association both on a human and financial level. Whenever he is called upon, he always answers.

He said: “By going to meet the children being treated, by meeting the doctors, the host families, and the support organizations, I have been able to realize the benefits and seriousness of this chain of solidarity. Supporting the Monaco Collectif Humanitaire means offering a chance at life to the most disadvantaged children in the world; 100% of donations are allocated to the care of children. So don’t hesitate; come and join us!”
